Thanks for stopping by. We are Tiburon Open Space (TOS). Since our inception, our goal has been to permanently preserve the land in Tiburon, California currently known as the Martha Property.

This property is among the last great urban open spaces in Northern California. Its 110 acres, which has been privately owned for many generations, and majestically sits atop of the Tiburon Peninsula with remarkable trails and vistas and wildlife. Its forever views include the City of San Francisco, Angel Island, the Bay, the East and North Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. It has been at the center of many discussions, to say the least, and over a very long period of time.

We are delighted beyond measure to announce that after so much work the Reed Family, who owns the property, the Trust for Public Land (TPL), with the assistance of TOS, has successfully agreed to purchase the property. And, when financing is fully secured, the property will remain open space in perpetuity. As we have often said: for all of us, forever.

The process for securing that financing is well underway. Both Marin County and the Town of Tiburon are providing funds. Eligible taxpayers in Tiburon recently voted in favor of Measure M, a proposal to have them to considerably contribute to the fund by means of annual property tax assessments---and they did so by an astounding manner with nearly 80% voting in favor!

We now have to secure the necessary balance of $15 million. This will need to be done through both individual, and major gifts from local donors, and from both State and Foundation entities.
